KTC launched its new education practice with the intent to help provide a greater focus on the needs of community colleges. The economic downturn, coupled with the increase in costs for four-year institutions have resulted in more students turning to community colleges to obtain the skills needed to succeed. President Obama recently unveiled plans for a 12 billion dollar education initiative aimed solely at funding infrastructure improvements and broadening access to community colleges. With over 1,000 community colleges in the U.S., competition for these funds will be incredibly fierce.
